About The Next Shelf

Hi, I’m Beckie, the person behind The Next Shelf — a small independent second-hand bookshop based in Caerphilly.

The Next Shelf started from a simple love of books and the belief that a good book deserves more than one life. I wanted to create somewhere people could browse, discover something unexpected and leave with a book they’re genuinely excited to read without spending a fortune.

I carefully select the books I stock, with a particular love for fiction, children’s books and those titles that you might not have been looking for but somehow end up taking home. The aim is to keep things affordable while creating a collection that feels a little different from the usual second-hand bookshop.

The Next Shelf currently pops up in Caerphilly, with new books and collections arriving regularly. Whether you’re searching for an old favourite, your next great read or simply fancy having a browse, I’d love for you to come and take a look.

Thanks for supporting a small, independent book business — and happy reading!
